Famous Quake Newspaper Article

Task: 

Pretend you are a newspaper reporter on the scene of the earthquake and  write a newspaper article about your assigned earthquake. If you have never written a newspaper article, here are a few guidelines and tutorials to get you started:

Criteria: 

·        Write about the who, what, when, where, how, and why of your earthquake. 

·         Length should be 3-4 paragraphs (Paragraphs are 5-9 sentences)

·         Your finished article should be well written, include correct mechanics and spelling, be typed and emailed to your teacher (mrszajacbeck@gmail.com).

 

Want Extra Credit?

Prepare a 30 second TV news report on your earthquake. Act like a news anchorperson, prepare your report and speak seriously and slowly. Let your teacher know that you are doing taking this extra credit opportunity so she can schedule you in to class time.
